Billy Trivial was born in the winter of 1886, a season marked as the coldest and bleakest for decades before and since. His father was a local butcher and his mother a poule-de-luxe. On his eleventh birthday, Billy garrotted his mother with the drone string of his trusty Fairbanks banjo, and killed his father with his Mussehl & Westphal musical saw.
